I haven't been entirely idle although the bad weather has rather slowed me down. Also I had a long weekend away, in sunny Brussels
I moved indoors and made one of David's splendid ESR Meters - see http://golbornevintageradio.org/forum/sh...hp?tid=411&pid=18927#pid18927
So, two comments:-
C18 measures about six Ohms which would potentially make it dodgy, but a modern replacement made no discernable difference as noted previously.
I ventured down to the garage today and found everything was gratifyingly dry so I switched it on. Long wave R4 came in loud and clear although the Reaction problem is still there.
Onward and upward.
Alan
