BAOFENG UV-3R DUAL-BAND HAND-HELD

Aalthough I've been a licensed radio amateur since 1974 and am equipped to go on all bands from 1.8-30MHz, I haven't been on air for some years, and couldn't be less interested. I haven't a clue what the latest 'bells and whistles' 'plug 'n play' 'out of the box' offerings are from 'Kenyasueicom', but a chum who is very active mentioned that he uses a hand-held 144MHz/70 CMs hand-held transceiver which apparently is held in high regard, yet costs just $49.80 (£31.50) post free.
