This morning I thought my 'Quick Job' had come to nothing, and the story may be of interest to others.
I went down to the greenhouse to open up and check things over. Of course I swiched the R33 on, and apart from the usual bit of drift to start with it was fine. After I'd watered and collected fruit I went to the garage to carry on with my reorganisation. I knocked off at lunchtime and called in at the greenhouse just to check that the R33 was OK. To my horror there was 'frying' all over both bands. Ah well, that's another job needs doing, so switch off and swear a bit. I didn't get back until teatime due to other things which I had to do, but when I went into the garage I realised that I'd left the Drill spotlamp on. It's a 3W high intensity LED Lamp on an ES base - see attached, sorry about the fuzz. Internally it's effectively a high frequency voltage limited current source driving the LED. Although both the greenhouse and the garage are on the same supply, in fact the greenhouse is fed from the garage, surely not. To cut a long story short it was indeed the lamp, although I think it was faulty as it expired when I took it out and put it back. I tried a couple of CFLs and they were OK, but in the end I decided to stick to a Halogen.
I suppose the moral of the story is don't automatically blame the radio.
