My first job in Australia was with QTQ9 TV at Brisbane. It turned out to be an interesting time, since they were still using huge image-orthicon cameras with connecting multi-cables that would put a heavy air-hose to shame. Almost seamlessly the transition was made to colour and the cameras then employed were Phillips types where the only connection was a slim dual-coax line feeding power, sync, video - everything!
