When you come to the tuner, you may find an article in Practical TV August 1961 useful. Page 354. Available from the World Radio History website. My only experience of one was an odd variant used in a Jason FM/TV sound tuner. I found it horrible and finicky but that may have been inexperience as was probably about 14 at the time.
