Hi Tracy, agree that sorting threads on a forum and chasing down data can be time consuming; good luck with finding a method of simplification
I terms of flight sims, rudder controls are useful on small or aerobatic aircraft, Rudders are not used in a normal commercial flight unless on the ground at very low speed or if the control system that links rudder and ailerons fails (this system co-ordinates rudder application with the demanded bank set bu the ailerons for balanced flight).
Trim is much used and is a vital system on all aircraft, I can see getting a balanced action from the electronics in a sim that is independant of control position might present problems; I suspect an analogue system may be easier to implement than a digital one.
There are plenty of details available on open plan circuits for radios of the 30's etc. One of the contributors to the UKVRR forum produced many superb examples that are pictured on that forum using both home made and commercial coils.
Feel free to PM me if you need any data on flight (I'm a PPL) or the vintage radios, I have some supplies of vintage cloth covered wire for coils and can also rewind intervalve transformers.
Cheers, Ed
I would be very interested in your flight sim circuitry
