I think I know what you're talking about. Currently, I see a big problem with valves. Many of them will probably need to be replaced. Fortunately, I have some supplies with Russian equivalents. I also have concerns about the condition of the transformers. Everything will become clear soon. Unfortunately, rust is ubiquitous. This is a good time to check whether mechanical cleaning, e.g. soda blasting, is better than chemical cleaning. Maybe you need to combine both of these methods? As for the wires, shortwave radio antennas from the 1960s and 1970s from military warehouses have sheaths almost identical to the wires from the US. I can use them now.
