Heybrook HB2 series 2000

Hi All,
I recently picked up a pair of Heybrook HB2 series 2000 in relatively good condition for their age which sound excellent with my A&R A60. They sound very detailed and open but I am really not sure that I have the positioning correct for these (if I can at all?) as they are very bass light. I think I have indicated previously that I am using them in my office which is a box room approx 2.4m x 2.4m (yes not very big at all). They are currently against the back wall on 1m stands.

Any thoughts or is it was it is?

Wouldn't know a Heybrook 2000 if it fell on my head, but all speaker positioning is a compromise, your limited by where you can put them, just try various positions Rob, usually speakers aren't supposed to be in a corner or up against a wall, AFAIK they sound better out a few feet, tweeters at ear height, tilted back slightly. It's often the case though that all you can do is bung em where they'll fit.

An interesting experiment you can do is in a room with hard painted walls put a good quality mono FM radio in a corner at head height.
Walk around the room and listen to the bass/treble notes especilly where they sound like they are coming from as you move around.
So if you really want to spend a huge amount of money on speakers you also need to match the cost with whatever sound proofing you use for the listening room.
