I was pleased to discover this site, as I have a interest in audio of various sorts.
When I was 9 or 10 I took an interest in crystal sets and later built a transistor radio.
In my teens I put together a guitar amplifier.
There were a few glitches, as the tremolo unit ended up being a treble booster!
Later I built a music system with a loudspeaker in a drainpipe. Didn’t go down to
well with my Mother...
These days a have a small audio business, MGM Audio, running a PA system.
I also restore old speakers, including the BBC LS3/5a.
And I still love listening to old radio sets.
