Caravan multi-fuel fridges

Hi Gents, not quite household, but close.
I have a Dometic RM 7xx1 multi fuel caravan fridge. It works reasonably well on Gas and mains supplies, but until I wired the 12v heater directly to a supply it did not work well at all.
It worked OK when the caravan was new.
I only use the 12V supply when it is under tow.

The fridge is fitted with a control PCB that uses "larger" SMD parts so is repairable; this appears to be defective and was why I wired the heater direct to the incoming car Ignition controlled supply. This PCB will also accept a solar cell input.

Has anyone details of these boards so I can repair it?

if it works ok with the heater conected to a permenent 12 volts it surgests that the thermostat may not be working correctly try shorting it out ,i always try the easy things first.

I had a electralux multi one for my static van as at the time the site wasnt on mains but i switched between gas at the w/e and 12volt during the week while i wasnt there as i had 2 wind chargers connected to some battarys.The only problem i ever had was the pizzo ingnition that i had to replace and oh the burner for the gass..It also worked on mains as i tested it when at home.It lasted for over 25y until i sold the van.

Hi folks, stat is a seperate unit that links into the PCB and is routed through that to control operation on all fuels. It appears to work on maind and gas but not 12v, hence the need for a schematic.

The reasone th themostat dosent work on the 12v is that was only intended to be used when the caravan was being towed.You the changed over to either bottled gas or mains.
