I'm here to create a Philips pattern generator that has the Philips circle pattern in a variant of this model. I've been trying to find files on GitHub but can't find the Philips circle pattern. I want to create a PM5644 4:3 version similar to the original. Has anyone done it yet?

Likely some vintage site has good png files, maybe even extracted from a Phillips.

This is 20 years old. I suspect test card from PAL output on PC Graphics card.

I found Inaxeon's GitHub file about PTV_Presevation. This repository contains all of the catalogues, manuals and code dumps for Philips "PTV" test equipment. This includes the PM5644.

I met Inaxeon in London the day before yesterday. We discussed many aspects of TV engineering.

I'd like to ask one more time: Where is the PM5644 generator? Because I'm trying to pick it up because the PM5644 is very popular because it's from the 90s.

I've no idea about the PM5644. I've never seen one myself. We have the PM5544 installed in the Central Apparatus Room at Broadcast Engineering Museum.

Whatever you do with your PM5544, insert a clock module to give the PM5544 some clock.

The PM5544 does not have a clock option. Our unit has the PM5543 text generator. It can be switched to show BBC1 or BBC2.

Here's a photo of the output of our PM5544 showing BBC1. The Tektronix 1765 waveform/vector monitor (right) shows the output coded into PAL. The WFM601A SDI waveform monitor (left) seems to be switched off. The picture monitor is showing the component output of the PM5544 converted to SDI.

NB: Our main router at the Broadcast Engineering Museum is SDI. It's a Blackmagic unit with 160 inputs and 160 outputs. We are lucky that it was donated to us. Wherever possible all video sources are converted to SD-SDI, with embedded audio as appropriate. We use composite PAL for various ancillary purposes.

In addition, your PM5544 has music in the PM5544 because if it has music, it looks vintage.

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean. The PM5544 has no audio capability.

If we can sort out the copyright, we will put suitable music with our sources of Testcards F and G (the PM5544 was known as testcard G in the BBC)
