UK/France Amateur Licence

Hi, I have a full UK amateur licence but live in France.

Anyone know how I can get a French amateur licence?

I belong to a group here that it would be good if I could transmit on the amateur bands during events.

Hi Andy.
Would not the RSGB or OFCOM not be able to give you advice? There are plenty of Ex Pats in France and Spain.

I have just asked the question on the ANFR site.

I hope I get a positive response and can exchange the licence.

I don't fancy having to do the French radio amateur exam all in technical French!

My understanding is that if you contact the French licencing authority they may issue you with a call sign if you have a full UK licence.
