Hello
I'm new to this forum and read this thread with great interest. I have recently acquired a two panel tester, but the plug was brittle and shattered in transit. I had spent 3 hours or so glueing it back together before I found this thread - Doh! I have quite a few old B9 valves that I'll never use and I think I'll sacrifice an 'iffy' one (e.g. top anode cap missing) using cellulose thinners.
I'm sure that I have more than one 'iffy' B9-based valve, so if anyone would like one for its base please let me know.
BTW all but one of the resistors read within tolerance, but the waxy capacitor was shot and had to be changed. I also noticed that the voltage selector was set at 230, rather than 240v.
Thanks
Adam
