Tech TE-22 signal generator

Got one of these to fix up, output was low. Popped open the lid, two valves identifed no probs (ECC85 and a rect valve) but the third one has no markings on the glass other than it was made by Mazda.
Any suggestions gratefully received. Mod edit: Corrected subject line from "TC-22" to "TE-22"...

Tube line up is 6BM8(ECL82), 6AQ8(ECC85) & 6X4(EZ90/U78). Also sold under the "CTR" name in Germany.

Should have said that BAMA is a resource that everyone interested in vintage kit should know about.

You can freely download the TE22 Manual from the Boat Anchors Manual Archive ('BAMA') here:

Now up and running on soak test. Blown ECL82 valve on secondary side, replacement cured all. Stuck the suspect valve on the tester, totally brain dead on one side.

It won't be as easy to maintain as a simple post in the forum, but not impossible. Against that, the increasing effectiveness of search engines really means that links pages like mine are arguably something that belongs to the last millennium. Perhaps the real value of our present "Websites" forum is the discussion that often results? Anyway, it's not a high priority task, but any thoughts or ideas are welcome... Cheers, Mark |
