No problem - I'm only offering my view

My final thought on this: without exception, the computers I've had to fix for non-technical friends and family always had top-of-the-line protection, all up to date, and it didn't stop the viruses getting on. Whereas I currently have nothing better than MSE (and some computers have nothing at all!) and I've yet to catch a virus or malware or anything. Famous last words - if I catch something now, I'll blame you

But as I hope I've been clear about all along, this is my experience, and not a recommendation for general non-technical users.

I use the Trend Micro Products.
I pay for them.
I'm careful and I've never had a problem.
And I drive carefully, although I live in the hope that the ABS, Traction Control, Crumple Zones, Side Impact Bars, Seatbelt Tensioners and Airbags will all work if I need them.

In the past I went through the Norton/Mcafee then AVG/MSE, A2 and Avast which I removed after getting some ransomware which they say they pick up, Duh!!! Switched to Malwarebytes free and do a full scan with MSE one partition per night followed by Mwb, on a roughly once a week basis.
