Meguro MSG-2560 Service Info

Hello there, does anybody have any information about the Meguro MSG-2560 RF Signal generator? I have been trying to find a schematic for quite a while now.

My generator had some components removed by the previous owner, so I'm just trying to find out what they are.

Thanks for the welcome, sadly the 2560B is very different to the non B version, which is a shame. They look almost identical, but the circuit layout is completely different.

The way back machine link, seems to be broken, it couldn't find ...77a_ownder.pdf, however, it looks like the link was truncated, and was possibly a national vp-8177a, which is very close to the 2560B in design and circuitry.

I have suspicion that AM/FM generators from Meguro, National/Panasonic and Leader seem to share many common design points and may in fact be largely the same machines under different guises. The Meguro 2560B, Leader 3215/6/7 and the National Panasonic VP 8174 look to be very similar. I have the manual for the VP8174, if you would like a copy PM me your email address.

Hi there, thanks for the reply Will send you a PM when I finish typing this.

On a side note, the National Panasonic VP-8179-B10 is the only generator that looks similar enough to the one I'm looking for. I'm happy to be proved wrong though, so will gladly have a look at the service manual just in case.

Thanks Chris for that pdf. I think is is close enough to give me an idea of what has been removed.   Why anyone would take parts out in the first place, is an odd one, but there you go.
