There was a series of articles on videotape machines done in the late 1960's in Practical TV magazine (as it
then was) by I think H.W.Hellyer.
He talks about the CV2000,I remember
reading it a year or two ago.
Back issues of the magazine can be found on the link below.I can't remember
the issues,try 1967/68 to begin with.

Yes we have got a fair way forward, it maybe a case of trying to make a silk purse from a soughs ear. The source material is quite variable.

Over a quarter of a century  ago Andy Emmerson recorded a 405 line Betamax tape for me.
Of course I still have it, but can't remember what is on it.

I must try out if my Sony SL-C7E still works, which has not been powered up for over 20 years now....

The material on the tape most likely is now available otherwise, but you never know.
If it contains "new" material, a 405 --> 625 converter would be handy
At the time I did not have a standards converter, and the moving scenes were a nice improvement over my home constructed TCC-generator.

I can certainly remmber the years after 405 closedown(1985) and before the Dinosaur and Pineapple converters (c1992) when only a select few people had 625>405 converters. 405 line VHS or Betamax tapes were an important source of 405 material back then. I suppose I was one of the few because I always had access to the ex BBC CO6/509 at the Vintage Wireless Museum.

Apart from the CV2000 archive that the OP has found it's possible that a few interesting items are lurking on 405 VHS/Beta tapes. However since such tapes are likely to have been copied from 625 sources it's more likely that the same material survives in 625.
