There was a very interesting story on BBC East Midlands Today a few minutes ago: It featured a Mr Marshall from Harby in Notts who has collected loads of vintage broadcast gear. It featured Southern & BBC OB lorries, a Marconi mark 4 camera, a 1968 Southern TV VTR & a BBC TV camera used at the coronation. Think it'll be on BBC i-player later...

Paul Marshall is an old friend. I've been to his place a number of times and the sheer amount of stuff is incredible. When I was there a few months ago I ended up sleeping on a mattress in his "Projct Vivat" re-creation of an OB truck from the 1953 Coronation. Wouldn't be able to do that now as most of the technical kit is now installed.
