Hmm: that explains quite a lot. Here, to store my stuff, I'm always running out of capacity. Plus, around here, I get the blame for most things that go wrong.  . . . . . ipso, I must be a capacitor!

The JJ700B has been run for a total of some 12-15 hours (averaging about 2 hours at a time) on radio, Record Player and Tape Recorder with no sign of a repeat failure. Could have been capacitor(s) which have subsequently re-formed
After all they are all 30 years old!
