Talking about all those ferrite components being made in china inspired me to look again at what came up when I was looking for EHT capacitors last spring. They are like a Polish RS and sell all the innards of those expensive specialist bits of gear that cost hundreds of pounds on the UK sites.
They are 4 day delivery and not the cheapest so they have there bad bit too.
They sell loads of those big LEDs and stuff and they have a special promo on for British customers at the moment.
By putting "ferrite" in I got.

They are the cores for flat screen power supplies. The bobbins and wire can be found too.
They are a good if you have broken the bias oscillator core on a tape recorder or something like that.
