New acquisition, 215 Graetz German radio.

Not cheap but unusual, a wood case Graetz 215 Melodia radio from the Westphalia factory, not the earlier East German works.

AM and FM chassis with EM80 eye, EL84 output valve, cabinet dry and no worm, needs a good polishing up.

Absolutely complete in reasonable untouched condition, even has the schuko plug!  Only thing found on a first quick look is the treble control is seized or its sliding indicator is stuck.

I will get round to restoring it  - eventually - its about 24th in the queue!

I've a few German radios, a 1951 Siemens with FM that uses an ECH42 which actually works quite well as the FM mixer. The component quality leaves a lot to be desired and is poorer than many British sets of the time, the whole radio required gutting out. I've also got a big Philips three speaker all band radio also manufactured for the German Market, its decent quality and a superb performer.
I've two East German communist radios by RFT, a lot better than you'd think the little midget set is excellent.

A big set, very heavy.  Three speakers, one is bolted to the top of the cabinet with no grill to let the sound out, odd.

Ah, very nice. I'd not seen that speaker arrangement before, but the photos at RM.org for a somewhat similar model, the Melodia 4R/218 -

seem to show that the upper tweeter is fixed to a false cabinet roof, and sound from it emerges through the narrow strip of grille that runs along the front of the set just below the top.

I think the sound outlet is the 3 slots in the rear of the top rail of the cabinet, the fancy wood work on the front is solid.
Do I keep the schuko plug for originality?
