No, no no Amie! Do not earth the output of the isolating transformer! If you think about it, you are creating your own mains supply which is just as dangerous as the mains supply it is connected to! If any of your test equipment or soldering iron is correctly earthed you've created a new hazard for yourself which, because you think it is safe, is even more deadly than if you didn't use a transformer!
Earth the chassis instead - it will be much safer!
