It's one of the IVC 1" machines from the late 1960s or 1970s. Omega wrap, as against the alpha wrap of the rival Ampex 5000 and 7000 series. BOth IVC and Ampex 1" machines could give first rate results. The Ampex later formed the basis of the broadcast C format VTRs which reigned supreme for many years. The IVC disappeared without trace except for a few enthusiasts.
