The real plus point of this forum is the active participation of those such as Gary, Tony, Colin, Robert, John (Geaney) and others, who have elevated cabinet and dial restoration to an art form, as well as undertaking total chassis strip-downs and restorations, sharing their experiences with us in considerable well illustrated detail, both on the forum and in the BVWS magazine.

As to wrinkle paint, it's very difficult to get a good finish on large panels because as Tony highlighted, there are so many variables, whereas in factory conditions, everything such as temperature, consistency of paint, and the skill in applying it day-in, day-out, is under controlled conditions. I've used it several times over the ears, but as with hammer finish aerosols, next time you need the can, it's blocked solid even though as instructed, you turned it upside down to clear the discharge tube and spray head last time you used it.
