Oh dear, I like the smell of suds, although I guess it wouln't be too popular in the house.
In our last house the garage was attached to the side and I never noticed any smell.
I've got some Tapping Compound in a tobacco tin that I liberated years ago. It smells horrible, but works very well. and you don't need much. It'll see me out
